Lore[]
For a thousand years, Nauria honorably wore the mantle as Blade of Vengeance, right hand to the goddess of vengeance, Ilsaelle. When Nauria was sent to exact her wrath against a merchant whose enemies' prayers and sacrifice had been received, she witnessed terrible atrocities on a world corrupted by a circle of necromancers and their malevolent overlord.
Nauria appealed to Ilsaelle on behalf of those left to suffer the overlord's cruelties, but her prayer went unanswered. The silence from her goddess was maddening.
Against her divine lady's command, Nauria exacted her justice, slaying the overlord and all those she deemed worthy of her vengeance until only the most pure remained, many of whom were left to stand alone in a field of corpses sown with their neighbors, friends, and family.
Ilsaelle's fury was great and she sent her servants to bring the rogue Blade to heel, but it was too late--Nauria's madness had corrupted the sentient blade, binding its power and its fate to that of its mistress.
For a thousand years more, Nauria has wandered the darkest corners of the universe, her madness and cruelty growing with each life reaped by Misery's hungry steel. Today, Nauria's sadistic intentions are drawn to a world in turmoil; a world that will soon know the tyranny of despair
